Our vision

Home to many, welcome to all!

Our Mission
To unite in worship and witness with the Father, Son and Spirit.

Mission Outpost

We are an oasis for English-speakers in Lyon who want to discover and deepen their Christian faith in the heart of a secular nation.
We offer a spiritual home to displaced people from around the world who need logistical and practical help.
In order to fulfil our calling, we serve in partnership with local churches and actively seek overseas mission support.

The 3 main areas of our mission are:

Worship

Small groups and congregational worship

We are an international community of Christians drawn from 33 different nationalities, different traditions, church backgrounds and experiences.
We meet in small groups around the city and as a full congregation to worship God.

Action

Logistical and practical support

We try to help people find refuge, get papers, eat regularly and have decent clothing. We help people learn to speak French and integrate into French society.

Discipleship

Discovering and deepening our Christian faith

People coming from no faith are finding faith. We lead discovery courses such as Alpha and Come Follow Me, a course designed to disciple those from a Muslim background. We train leaders and help believers determine God’s call on their lives and follow it.

As an English-speaking mission outpost in Lyon, we are welcoming unprecedented numbers of migrants from Africa and the Middle East. They contact us for help because they do not speak French and English is more accessible.

We sent one of our Nigerian members to the UK to explore his calling to ministry. There is now an ordained minister in the UK who discovered his calling in Lyon as a Nigerian migrant! (You can find out more about him here.)

More recently, we have hosted Elam ministries for an Iranian integration and discipleship training conference  and run an Alpha course in Farsi.
