Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.
Luke 6:38
Trinity Church Lyon is financially self-supporting. The chaplain’s stipend, the maintenance of the Vicarage, the rent payable for use of the chapel, and all the running expenses of the church are met out of church giving by the church members. For this reason members are encouraged to put their church giving on a regular basis, using either a bank standing order payment or monthly giving envelopes. There are tax advantages for those using one of these methods. Contrary to what some people would like to believe, there is no hidden subsidy from the Church of England!
There is no pressure to tithe. But we are aware of Paul’s teaching that thin sowing (Paul is talking about money) means thin reaping and that ‘God loves a cheerful giver’ (2 Corinthians 9: 6-7).

In the USA, normal tax benefits for charity donations can also be obtained by giving via CAF America. Cheques in US$ need to be sent to CAF America together with a form which is available for downloading.
