TCL needs you

IMG_2057Serving practically is one of the best and quickest ways to build powerful friendships. It can also be great fun and massively fulfilling, as you get to contribute to the community and make a difference in the lives of those around you!

Whoever you are, there are lots of ways to get involved at TCL, and most teams have space for more. If you have a particular passion or skill, or would just like to contribute to the TCL community, we’d love to hear from you!

Please get in touch through the Contact us page if you’re able to serve.

Here are some of the areas where your contribution would be particularly valued.

    • Set up refreshment table
    • Serve refreshments
    • Clean up and pack away everything afterwards
    • Ensure that the pantry is stocked with tea, coffee, biscuits, sugar, milk,
    syrup
    Who can join?
Anyone who has a Sunday “free” when they can get to church by 10am to set up and stay at least half an hour afterwards to clear up. Serving the refreshments is an excellent way of getting to know people who attend the service.
  • MusicTeam
We’ll take any musical instrument, but you do need to be able to play it! Also, singers and praise leaders. If you’re gifted in this area, we’d love to hear from you.
  • Children’s Groups
We are always on the look out for people keen to work with our children and youth. Generally we ask each team member to help out on one Sunday each month. Material is provided.
  • Youth Group
Help support our young people by hosting social events, or Sunday discussion groups.
  • Reading the Bible
Every week, we hear the Word of God in Bible readings. If you can read aloud clearly, please let us know! (Please note that, in our international community, an Oxford accent is NOT a requirement!)
  • Prayer Ministry Team
The prayer ministry team is a group of Christians who feel called to pray for the members of our church. When the Sunday morning service ends, anyone wanting prayer for whatever reason is invited to remain in the chapel where two members of the team are available to listen to and pray for, or with, them, in a caring and strictly confidential environment. The team meet regularly to pray for each other, to study God’s word together, and to seek to learn how to actively use this ministry to bless our church. We believe that God hears and answers all prayer, and that He can and will use any willing person to be a channel of His perfect love.
  • Cleaning team
We participate in the cleaning rota at Rue Bancel: once a month, stay behind after the service and get out the mop or the vacuum.

We look forward to hearing from you – thanks for your valuable service!
